An aerial drone photo taken on May 13, 2025 shows a view of the Yongqing Block in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province.

Located on Enning Road of Liwan District in southern Chinese city Guangzhou, the Yongqing Block is a historic downtown community revitalized by a renovation project launched by the local government in 2016. Its arcade-style buildings are standing monument to Guangzhou's interaction with the West during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Over the past decade, the area has withheld bulldozers and emerged as a new cultural hub popular among the young people.

In August 2020, Guangzhou's first intangible cultural heritage (ICH) district opened to the public in the Yongqing Block. The government aims to use the ICH district, which offers space for the display and sale of intangible cultural heritage traditions of Guangzhou, to promote the integration of culture and tourism, as well as the preservation and continuation of traditional craftsmanship.
