International kite festival opens in NW China's Shaanxi

The Fifth Xianyang Weihe River International Kite Festival was inaugurated in Xianyang city, northwest China's Shaanxi Province on April 8.
Over 200 kite experts and professionals from over 20 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities participated in the festival. Foreign players from eight countries also brought their works in the form of videos.
The festival lasted two days, consisting of competition in 15 varieties from five categories. It also held a host of activities, which attracted many visitors.
